A CALL FOR UNION FOR DEMOCRACY

nyomtatás

Undersigned, experienced the wide spread of antidemocratic endeavor, feeling the responsibility of those
who support the achievement of the democracy in Hungary hereby make the following call.

We hope that the dictatorial  decades of the twentieth century woke up the attention of the majority of our
compatriots about the fact that the achievement of Hungary is only possible within the confines of democracy
and this is the only possible way to be a full right member of the European Society.
Recently we are the victims of changes and alterations which endanger our democracy. Some, living around us
are captured in the dark by the blindness.  Against the financial improvement of mankind; insincerity and
violation often rules over the right, independence and sober sense and this was caused by the fanaticism of
dictatorships, injustice and prejudice lead to the lack of discernment. Nowadays this happens also in Hungary as
the radical ideas are getting more and more supported and the antidemocratic beliefs are spread widely.
The devotees of the democracy cannot accept the harmful incidents endangering the democracy and the
traditions of the Hungarian Republic that we are a victim of!
The Hungarian Federation of Resistance Fighters and Antifascist (Magyar Ellenállók és Antifasiszták
Szövetsége – MEASZ) has decided to turn with a call to the Hungarian society with the help of the supporters
of the Federation.
The signers of the CALL FOR UNION FOR DEMOCRACY are wish to express their commitment  for democracy
and protest, if needed, take on the necessary moves in order to change. It is a common interest of all of us to be
able to work and live in democratic environment in Hungary. Thus it is very important that the government of
Hungary and the  representatives elected by us  content their voters both in the Parliament and in the local
governments.
To protect the democratic intellectuality is the business of neither the leftist nor the rightist being. Accordingly
we expect everyone to sign the call if they believe that  it is important to keep leveling up the democracy in
Hungary which can serve one’s more livable life, the development of human rights and the harmonic existence
of one’s environment.
