A FIR (Ellenállók Nemzetközi Szövetsége) a belga Veterán Intézet, és az Auschwitz Alapítvány Brüsszelből Auschwitz-Birkaneuba 1000 fős, az Európai Unióból érkező nemzetközi ifjúsági zarándokvonatot indított II. Albert belga király támogatásával a Győzelem napjához kötődően május 5-én.
Az Ellenállók Nemzetközi Szövetségének valamint a Magyar Ellenállók és Antifasiszták Szövetségének elnöke, Hanti Vilmos május 8-án Auschwitzban, az egykori haláltábor helyszínén mondott beszédet a belga miniszterelnök társaságában.

Miniszterelnök Úr, Kedves Barátaim!
Az Ellenállók Nemzetközi Szervezete, a FIR elnökeként megköszönöm a Belga Kormánynak és mindenkinek, akik segítettek ezt a hatalmas vállalkozást, hogy 1000 fiatal Európa országaiból eljöhesse ide Auschwitz – Birkaneuba. Legyen ez példa más nemzeti kormányok számára is, tegyék lehetővé, hogy minden fiatal 18 éves koráig saját szemével nézhesse meg azt a borzalmat egy korabeli náci koncentrációs táborban, amit a szörnyű ideológia, a fasizmus nevében a vadállattá váló ember elkövethet.

Amikor közösen indultunk Brüsszelből, úgy kívántam nektek jó utazást, hogy kértelek benneteket, amit látni fogtok, mondjátok el barátaitoknak, majd gyermekeiteknek!
Ma május 8-án a II. világháború befejezését, az antifasiszta koalíció fasizmus fölötti győzelmét ünnepeljük. Soha sem szabad elfelejtenünk, hogy ezt a tábort az egykori Szovjetunió Vörös Hadserege szabadította föl. Gyakran tapasztaljuk napjainkban azt a történelemhamisítást, amely jelentékteleníti vagy teljesen kiradírozza a történelemkönyvek lapjairól az egykori antifasiszta koalíció világtörténelem-formáló szerepét, eltünteti az antifasiszta ellenállók hősies helytállásának nyomait.
Amikor veletek együtt megnéztem az auschwitzi emlékkiállítást, ott is akadt némi hiányérzetem. Nem elég a Holokauszt borzalmait bemutatni, emlékeztetni kell az utókort a kialakult helyzethez vezető út okaira, és hitelesen be kell mutatni a fasizmust legyőzni képes politikai erőket, el kell ismerni az embermentők mellett mindazok hősiességét, akik szembe szálltak a borzalommal. Kérlek benneteket, ne feledjétek azt sem, a fasizmus elleni föllépés azért lehetett sikeres, mert ellene össze tudtak fogni a különféle világnézetű emberek!
67 évvel a nagy győzelem után látjuk, hogy a fasizmus embertelen gondolatát nem lehetett végérvényesen legyőzni. látjuk, hogy sok országban, de még az Európai Unió parlamentjében is jelen vannak azok a szélsőjobboldali pártok, amelyek rasszista, kirekesztő politikát követnek, a gazdasági válságban könnyebben találnak a nehézségek kezelése helyett bűnbakot, a demokrácia felszámolására törekednek.
Kedves Fiatal Barátaim!
Ez nem tűrhetjük! Rajtatok múlik, otthon maradt barátaitokon múlik, Európa minden humanista polgárán múlik, legyen az jobboldali vagy baloldali, legyen az vallásos vagy ateista, hogy a szélsőjobbnak nemet tudjunk mondani, s ki kell őket zavarnunk a demokratikus választásokon a nemzeti parlamentekből, az Európa Unió Parlamentjéből, a demokrácia intézményeiből! Az egykori antifasiszta ellenállók hősiessége legyen számunkra az erkölcsi példa!
A fasizmus, a nácizmus nem vélemény, hanem az emberiséggel szembeni bűntett! Szólni kell azokról a politikai erőkről is, amelyek együttműködnek a szélsőjobb-bal. Semmi keresnivalójuk nincs ezeknek a politikai erőknek a nemzeti kormányokban, hiszen könnyen válhatnak maguk is szélsőjobboldalivá. Sajnos erre is tudunk Európában példát mondani.
A 61 éves FIR az ENSZ-től a “Béke nagykövete” címet kapta meg. Azt szeretnénk, ha minden ember békében, barátságban élne egymással, tartozzék bármilyen kisebbséghez, legyen bármilyen a bőr színe, bármilyen a vallása, bármilyen a nemi identitása.

Ezen értékek közös képviseletére kérünk benneteket, legyetek aktívak a saját országaitok antifasiszta szervezeteiben! Soha többé háborút, soha többé fasizmust!

Speech of the President of the International Federation of Resistance Fighters – Association of Antifascists , Mr. Vilmos Hanti during the remembrance journey of thousand young people at Auschwitz-Birkenau (May 8, 2012.)
Mr. Primer Minister, Dear my Friends,
As a president of the International Federation of Resistance Fighters – Association of Antifascists (FIR) I thank the Government of Belgium and all the people who helped to fulfil this huge adventure that a thousand young pupils from Europe could come here to Auschwitz-Birkenau.
Let it be an example for other national governments. They should do it possible for every young person till the age of 18 years old that he can see with his own eyes and feel the horrible things what have been done by the Nazis in a concentration camp, what the inhuman ideology, a bewildered man could do in the name of fascism.
Dear my Young Friends,
When we departed together from Brussels I wished you a bon voyage (a good trip) and requested you that what you would see please tell them to your friends and later on to your children.
Today is 8th of May and we celebrate the end of WWII, the victory of antifascist coalition over fascism. We never have to forget that this camp was liberated by the Red Army of the former Soviet union. Nowadays we often experience the falsification of the history, which tries to underestimate the role of the coalition of antifascist resistance fighters or even to wipe out the footprints of their heroic resistance. When I saw together with you the exhibition in Auschwitz there I had also some kind of feeling of deficit. It is not enough to show the horror of the Holocaust but it is necessary to remind the causes which led to that situation. It is necessary to present truthfully the political forces capable of overcoming the fascism. We also have to recognize besides those who saved the live of many people the heroism of those who resisted against the barbarism of the fascists. Please do not forget that the fight against fascism was victorious because the people with different views could unit their effort.
67 years after the big victory we see that the inhuman ideology of fascism could not be defeated definitely. We see that in many countries and even in the parliament of the European Union the right-wing parties are represented, which pursue racists, segregating policy, and in the circumstances of economic crises instead of solving and managing the hardships they find scapegoats easily, and they are striving to demolish the democracy.
Dear my Young Friends,
We do not have to tolerate this. It depends on you and on your friends left at home, on all the humanist civilians in Europe, whether they stay on the right side or the on left side, whether they believe in God or they are atheists, we should resist and say no to the right-wing side. We have to sweep them out on democratic elections from the national parliaments, from the EU parliament, from the democratic institutions. Let the heroism of the former participants of resistance be a moral example for us.
The fascism, the Nazism is not an opinion but a crime against the mankind. We have to speak also about those political forces which cooperate with the right-wing. There is no place for them in the national parliaments because they can easily become also right-wing fashioned. Unfortunately we can tell several such examples in Europe.
The International Federation of Resistance Fighters – Association of Antifascist is a 61 years old organization and it received from the United Nations Organization the title of “The Ambassador of Peace”. We would like if all the people could live in peace in brotherhood with each other notwithstanding of his adherence to different minorities, colour of skin, religion or sexual identity.

We request you to represent these values, let you be active in your country’s antifascist organizations.
Never again more wars, never again fascism.
